The Men’s Treatment Facility, staffed 24/7, is located in a residential community in the east end of Belleville in a century home. There are 16 beds in the home, with two clients to a room. The program, designed to teach the skills and tools to maintain abstinence, runs on a continuous three-week cycle with individuals either completing or starting the program every Thursday.
While staying in the facility, the Residence Cook prepares lunch and supper each day. Breakfast items are supplied and there is always fresh fruit available for snacking throughout the day.
The majority of the day is spent in group programming, so it is important to pack comfortable clothing with about enough to last one week. There are laundry facilities on the premises and laundry soap is provided.
Opportunities for exercise include a daily morning walk by the Bay of Quinte with an optional walk in the afternoon for those interested.
Personal cell phones or other electronic devices with Wi-Fi capabilities may be accessed during weekly personal time. Clients may access the payphone located on the premises and it is recommended clients purchase a pre-paid phone card to utilize the payphone during their stay.
The Men’s Treatment Facility only accepts referrals from an Assessment and Referral Agency. To find the one nearest to you, you can contact ConnexOntario Health Services Information at: 1-866-531-2600.
